Zeitformen - Pflanzenstudien
Fotografische Studien von Blättern, Blüten, Samenkapseln und Gräsern
Bei einem Spaziergang oder im Garten lassen sich im Sommer und Herbst die unterschiedlichsten Pflanzenteile und Samenkapseln finden. Begonnen habe ich mit den Studien 2015 anlässlich eines Online-Fotografie-Aufrufs „150 Jahre Karl Blossfeldt“. Teils sind die Studien spontan entstanden, unterwegs auf einem Blatt Papier fotografiert oder auf dem Lichttisch.
Mich hatte das Thema einfach fasziniert, da ich ein großer Fan von Karl Blossfeldt bin und eine große Liebhaberin von Pflanzen – Blüten, Samenkapseln, Gräsern. Die erste Fotografie dieser Reihe machte ich von den schalenförmigen Samenkapseln des Brandkrauts. Danach folgten verschiedene Studien der Jungfer im Grünen, Wilde Möhre, Kugeldistel, Clematis bis hin zu Samenkapseln aus anderen Ländern, Zapfen und Gräsern.
Hier zeige ich eine kleine Auswahl. Die Studien nenne ich Zeitformen, sie tragen in sich die Jahreszeiten und erzählen vom Keimen, Wachsen und Vergehen und vom neuen Leben im kommenden Jahr. Sie dienen mir auch als Inspirationsquelle für Arbeiten aus Glas und Papier. Einige Motive sind als Postkarten in meinem Atelier erhältlich.
Time Forms - Studies of Plants
Photographic studies of leaves, flowers, seed capsules, and grasses – During a walk or in the garden, one can find the most diverse plant parts and seed capsules in summer and autumn. I began these studies in 2015 on the occasion of an online photography call, “150 Years of Karl Blossfeldt.” Some of the studies came about spontaneously, photographed on a sheet of paper while out and about or on a light table.
I am not a professional photographer. I was simply fascinated by the subject, as I am a great fan of Karl Blossfeldt and a devoted lover of plants – flowers, seed capsules, grasses. The first photograph in this series was of the cup-shaped seed capsules of Brandkraut (Phlomis). This was followed by various studies of Lady’s Mantle, Wild Carrot, Globe Thistle, Clematis seed heads, as well as seed capsules from other countries, cones, and grasses.
Here I present a small selection. I call the studies “Time Forms”; they contain the seasons within them and tell of germination, growth, decay – and new life. They serve, among other things, as a source of inspiration for my works in glass and paper. Some motifs are available as postcards in my studio.
